April - Operation Hoodie is handed over to a new Chair
Operation Hoodie is sad to say goodbye to James Clegg who stood down as Chair today after 4 years of commitment and hard work. He is going to continue as a supporter and advisor to Operation Hoodie but feels he should hand over to a new Chair to give the appeal a fresh start and who will hopefully continue to grow Operation Hoodie to the dizzy heights he always believed it had the potential to grow to. The new Chair is Gill Needham who has been involved with Operation Hoodie for 2 years attending events and contributing to commitee ideas.
June - EGOstitch Ltd named new Hoodie Supplier
Although Operation Hoodie has been successfully supported by 'Romida' for many years the decision to change suppliers has been made as a mutual decision. Romida now have many more contracts they need to focus on with their commitment to sporting teams. Operation Hoodie needed a supplier who is able to handle orders all year round.
Operation Hoodie are very happy to announce that they have signed a contract with EGOstitch Ltd who shall be taking over Hoodie production for the appeal.
Egostitch Ltd is a family run embroidery company based in West Yorkshire and has been established for over 10 years. Their high quality embroidery has given Operation Hoodie a chance to refresh the hoodies with a fantastic new design which is due to be released at the end of June.
What the change in supplier means for Operation Hoodie:
- Higher donation percentage to Cancer Research UK
- Having a local supplier means we can collect the hoodies and not pay a courier charge, which ultimately would have had to have been added to the cost of the hoodie or removed from our fundraising money.
- A quick turn around from ordering to collection.
June 28th - Operation Hoodie recieve sample of new hoodie design!
Gill Needham collected the new hoodie design today which has been worked on by EGOstitch Ltd with the guidance of Cancer Research UK (the new hoodie design now conforms to the legal standards which Cancer Research UK have put in place).
The new design is very tidy and looks fantastic!
